Multi-disciplinary Pre‐Hospital Trauma Team Training and Human Factors
Pre-hospital trauma management requires a carefully choreographed production involving team-based identification and management of competing life threats performed by an ever-changing cast, on an ever-changing stage. Who are our teams, and how, then do we train for such eventualities? At the intersection of education theory, trauma management, organisation budgets and operational demands, lies the clinical and aviation training required to deliver trauma care to our patients. This presentation will identify key components of that training, how to adapt them to the learning objectives of a pre-hospital program, and offer pointers on extending training for expert learners.
